The Buyer Book

Who, in the public sector, buys what you make.

For one product family: the public bodies that order it across 33 countries, and how much of it each country imports. Nobody else joins the award records to the import bill. Pick a family to see the counts.

The catalogue

236 families with enough buyers to fill a book.

A family is listed when it has at least 50 goods notices across at least 5 countries. Fewer, and a book would be one country's list with a cover on it.

The join from a buyer's procurement code to a customs heading runs through crosswalks BuzzBaboon authored, because no official one exists, so it is approximate: a count is a product family, never a claim that a buyer bought one exact line. Counts come from 33 award records: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Switzerland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, United States, United Kingdom.
